FOUNDATION
EXAMINATION
The Foundation Examination has two
sections.
It consist of two Modules (Modules A and B).
THE PROFESSIONAL EXAMINATION:
The Professional Examinations are divided into two
parts i.e PE I and PE II level,
an option choice allow a students to specialize in either Financial
Management or Professional Practice.
The heading of the syllabus indicates the general
area of knowledge required.
Commercial awareness is necessary to demonstrate
a proper understanding. The period of the Examination will be March
and October yearly and the duration for each diet will be one week
from Monday to Friday.
Past question papers and examiners’ report
for the existing subjects will be made available for sale on a continuous
basis.
EXAMINATION RESULTS
The results of the Examinations will be communicated
by post the to each candidate within six week of the holding of
the examinations.
ABSENCE FROM EXAMINATION
Examination entries can not be withdraw after the closing date.
The fee paid for an examination will not be refund or transfer to
subsequent examination if a candidate decided not to attend or is
unable to attend the examination.
MIS –CONDUCTS IN EXAMINATION
The Examination regulations prohibit a student form
i. Taking into the examination room or possessing while in that
room any book, notes or taking materials except those that have
been authtorized in the Examination Attendance Dockets
ii Aiding or attempting to aid another candidate or obtaining or
attempting to obtain aid from another candidate
iii Refusing to obey the instruction from the Examination Supervisor
Any who fail to comply with the above regulation may be liable,
for
Such penalties as the Council of the Institute may determine.
EXEMPTION GUIDELINES:
The Institute may grant complete exemptions or on a subject for
subject basis within the relevant section of the Examination of
the following professional bodies.
The Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria
The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland
The institute of Chartered Accountants England and
Wales
The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria
The Association of Chartered Corporate Accountants
The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria
The Institute Society of Company Accountants, London.
Any other Institute or body recognised by ICCA. Also to be exempted
are holder of the following awards.
(a) A University Degree recognized by the Council
(b) A good Diploma of an Institutions recognized by the Council
(c) The Certificate of any other Institution of higher learning
recognized by the Council.
